Britt Williams is an award-winning writer and director based in Los Angeles, California. She won the Grand Prize Student DGA in the African American category for her film BEHOLD A LADY. BEHOLD A LADY also won the best narrative short at the 2024 Newark Black Film Festival, the longest running black film festival in America. She was a 2024 Deutsche Bank Frieze Los Angeles Film Award fellow where her short film SOFT LAUNCH won the Audience Award. Prior to receiving her MFA in directing from the American Film Institute, she received her bachelor's degree in Biological Chemistry at the University of Chicago, followed by a career in digital marketing in New York City. 

Her work uses humor to explore black characters who are suddenly confronted with their own internal contradictions. She’s deeply interested in themes of community, identity, femininity, and narratives of black progress.
